Who We Are<\/h1>\n

The Family of Faith (FOF)\n is a Catholic Covenant Community based in New Jersey, USA.  We come \nfrom different professions, occupations and state of life.  We have \nmarried, single, senior and young adult members.   Although our members come from \nvarious parts of New Jersey and its neighboring states, we meet \nregularly as a community in a common place.<\/p>\n

Our Origins<\/h2>\n

Family of Faith was founded in 1993 by a small group of Filipinos in New Jersey who had been part of the Charismatic Renewal in the Philippines and the US. Responding to God\u2019s call, they desired a community where they could grow in life in the Holy Spirit and find strength and support among fellow disciples of Christ. What began as a small prayer group has since grown into a vibrant community of disciples with a strong structure of service, spiritual support, and ongoing formation. Over the years, the Lord has continued to shape us as His people, and we have experienced His love and guidance\u2014both in our community life and in the lives of our members.<\/p>\n

Our Mission and Vision<\/h2>\n

Our mission\n is to live a life of prayer and holiness, take on the ways of God and \nbecome witnesses of God's love to others. We are committed to love and \nserve one another and the greater Church.

 Our vision is to be a Catholic Covenant Community with a common way of life that expresses God's truth and word in action. \n <\/p>\n

In Unity With All Christians<\/h2>\n

We\ndesire to live out our lives and mission in unity with all who love the Lord\nand are called to serve Him. We wish to work in harmony with those who exercise\nroles of pastoral authority in the Catholic Church. In addition, we wish to\ncooperate with all Christians according to the call of Vatican II (Unitatis Redintegratio<\/span>).  By our\necumenical unity and collaboration we want to witness to the unity God intends\nfor all His people.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n

Our Commitment<\/h2>\n

Seeking to follow the \nLord's command, we have committed our lives to one another in a covenant\n of love and mutual support.  We have also expressed explicitly to one \nanother our commitment to support the life of the community - our \npattern and way of life, God's work,  and the mission He has given us in\n unity.<\/p>\n <\/div>\n <\/section>\n

Our Logo<\/h2>\n

Our logo is a cup with tongues of flame inside.  There are significant references of the \"cup\" in the Scriptures:  Matthew 10:42<\/a>, Mark 10:39<\/a>, Luke 22:20<\/a>, 1 Corinthians 10:16<\/a>.  
\n
The cup also symbolizes family hospitality, family life or a common \nlife shared in a family.  Our Community is like a blessing cup that we \noffer freely and joyfully to God and to His people.

The\n flame represents the presence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.   We are a\n Charismatic community which derives its existence, direction, and \nstrength from the power of the Holy Spirit.
